Uuummmmmm.... I'm running 4" exhaust on my SBC and it's a N/A motor. 3" is the standard for HP motors. Not saying he "needs" 3" exhaust, but it's not overkill as you guys state.

Actually, I got 8" pipes on the Pete.... :hammer:

if you don't got the air flow volume you might burn your exhaust valve seat. when you get more HP you got more flow so you can make your exhaust bigger , you still can run bigger one but you might risk exhaust valve burning. even HP loss

it was in the shop for a clutch replacement. i put the king cobra clutch in it my old one was shot. and it was a little exageration. it doesnt have anything big just alot of small stuff. like everytime it goes in the shop to get looked at or somthing fixed and i mention puting something in it they disagree with me and say thers alot of stuff already on it like estimated 800 bucks into it...

They said there's like $800 into it? That's not a whole. Modular performance parts are pretty pricey.

how many miles are on it? yeah $800 isn't much. a full exhaust will cost you at least that much. for full bolt-ons your looking at somewhere around $3k
