my wife's 96 GT is in a bad way paint wise.....at first we called it Tommy..... Tommy Two Tone :laughing5: due to a door having been repainted early in it's life ......then after an altercation with a guardrail as a result from light rain and oily road ...... Patches came to mind as the car. originally Laser Red. now became multiple shades of this color.... we are thinking about going black or 03 Cobra Sonic Blue ..... whatcha think?

I'd do a fresh cover of laser red. My second favorite color on a stang. The sonic Blue would be sweet. I would stay away from black.

If you're going to spend the money to get a full color change, then paint it some custom color.

Mine is white with a silver pearl and metalflakes. When its clean, it pops so much more than your standard white and the metalflake doesn't really show unless you're right on it. I love it, even though it literally HURTS to look at it too long.

Color changes are a PITA. If you wanna do it right you're painting the engine bay, door jambs, under the trunk, etc.

But my vote is for Sonic!

Black is a PITA to maintain, but it is stunning when kept up right. Not many colors will provide the depth/shine that a good black paint job does. I don't know if you have a garage, but if you don't, I don't recommend black.

So yeah, my first option would be black, but DSG would look amazing!
