Alright i got my electrical problem fixed but now i have no coolant reading in my gauges. I know that the coolant is moving through the engine.

dont know if this helps but i put the thermostat in backwards.. its right now. lol. but i still have no gauge reading. i replaced the coolant sensor that is in the lower part of the intake. is there another one? could i have fried it with my alternator issues?

take the wire off the sending unit and ground it. if the gauge pegs hot then the gauge / wire is fine and its the sending unit

It sounds like you replaced it before the alternator problem. To be clear, you are referring to the dash gauge sending unit on the driver's side intake, correct The ECT sensor is on the T-stat housing.

There's another small sensor on the drivers side of the manifold. This is the sensor that gives you the temp reading. It should have a small 90 degree connector on top.

Yep use the old sensor front on the drivers side is most accurate for temp readings.

Im not sure if the threads are the same you will have to look at them. You just slip a deep socket over top of it... 15mmish IIRC.
