crappy 1/4 times?

Car has a custom 93 octane tune made 300rwhp and 330 rwtq

and im running 10.5 wide street tires

my best time was a 13.7 with a 2.68 60ft and 105 trap speed (i cut a 0.137 light)

so why are 60ft so crappy my car feels much faster than what its running. i dunno whats going on i was told a set of control arms would help me out alot, they are on this years mod list but what other things can i do to help my car out?

Your 60 foot times are horrendous.

The only explanation for that is massive spinning out of the hole.

You can't launch on street tires . If you ease out you can get your 60ft right down. Like 2.0 -1.9 . That mph can you into 12.s on et street slicks

I dont even understand how your 60 foot can be 2.7....even spinning my ass off I think the worst 60 foot ive ever got was 2.3- 2.4 haha

I was doing 2.0s on street tires with a stock auto and 3.73 gears and all of 200 rwhp prolly.

i know i dont get my 60ft times at all it pisses me off. and i have spin they spin bad after i hit second and then a lil bit when i hit third. i launch my car at about 2700 3k

How are you launching? Perhaps try less rpm and slower clutch out for better traction with street tires.

Yea I always went around it and just span my tires up to line to clean em off . I basically let the clutch out at maybe 2000rpm so it didn't really spin and then walk on it .like Justin said you must be frying them dumping the clutch and spinning right threw first and second

yeah im going to try a couple of things next time i go to the track. i hope the weather clears up here in IL soon so i can get some GoPro vids of the car. and im running some crapy sumoto 315's right now or how ever you spell it lol

my best 60ft was with my Nitto 555r's and that was a 2.1 it also doesnt help that every time i run at the track its like 2am humid as fuck and like 80 out lol so the track is kinda slick. we have an all night race night once every month in the summer and thats when i normaly race my car. i have never been down the track on a nice warm day so that could have something to do with it.

thats about what i run. my friend has a 99GT with all the same bolt ons as me but he runs drag slicks and always try to get me to put them on my car but im afraid i will start breaking stuff so i just spin and bitch about my times lol

You should be fine with slicks, I wouldnt do a drag radial though.
