Keep it clean... I use Aerospace 303 on all the plastic I can- fuse box cover, top of battery, radiator beauty cover, coolant overflow, cam covers, etc... Use some quick-detailer on the inner fenders and the strut tower brace/firewall- gives them a little pop without much effort. Also get at the timing chain cover/pullies as much as possible- devil's in the details. Make sure the edges of the hood and inner fenders are free of wax that may have dribbled down when you wax/polish the exterior. I recommend taking off the strut tower brace just to have easier access to everything. Since I have a BBK CAI I take the tube from the MAF to the TB off when I'm done, hit the tube with some Nevr- Dull (glass cleaner is great in a pinch), and clean down the cam cover/plug wires while I'm there.

Bear in mind that when washing these 4.6's, if you get water down in the plug wells, you might end up with a nasty miss. I clean my wells out with compressed air when I wash. The COP guys have it even worse- they can end up with shorted coils from the water. No good!

Just a couple of things I've learned from showing mine and being a judge... It really is in the fine details.

Your motor looks really good as it is, though- big improvement!

Yea I got my chin spoiler from what was at the time Mustangtuning.com, but now American Muscle.

Mines really scraped up...I hit it on everything, my car is so low. I'm thinking about just trashing it and getting a diff bumper.
i feel your pain. the front of my car is sitting slightly lower than it should because its still on tilt from the stock rear springs... i scrape the chin spoiler everywhere.

I don't think you are parked weird, it looks like its higher in the back because of the smaller sidewalls on the tires of the bullitts... :rollinglaugh:
It does look great though, what do you guys do to protect the electronics when power washing it?

^^Plastic shopping bags covering battery, alternator, and coil packs. I'd rather a slightly dingy alternator than a dead one!

afraid you are going to short out the battery? lol The coilpack is a sealed unit, so if it shorts out there was a problem to start with.

I always used my shop vac and sucked any water out of the sparkplug wells after the wash.
