Discovery's "Street Outlaws"

So I was home sick yesterday watching TV while heavily medicated, and ran across this show.

Anyone watch it? Is it legit? I would imagine anyone from OK would know for sure.

Even tho street racing is stupid, these guys kinda make it safe. They wear and have safety stuff like at the track, have driver's meetings, rules for racing, etc. It was entertaining, but is a Amish Mafia kind of BS?

I was watching it. I think that one guy was on pinks years ago when they still did the grudge races. Prob along the lines of amish mafia imo.

The fact that they showed cops on there had me think it was fake right away. I am sure no police dept would let them show the officers face nor want to participate in this with the idea of "take your car and go home" after finding a full-blown racecar with cameras mounted all over it and following it.

I would put it in the scripted reality area but will still probably watch it for lack of other car shows on.

Theres a topic over on YellowBullet about it. They have police block off the roads for the show and let them do their thing. Scripted not so sure but there is no chance of them getting in trouble with the law.

I watched the first episode and the new one from last night. Pretty good show tbh, some obviously isn't real and only for TV. Entertaining honestly lol. The guy Flip with the El Camino died on May 28th it said on the end of the first show, they said tragically so idk how he died. They also said all the filming was done before the tornadoes in Moore, OK.

The people are real, the cars are real and the racing is all real. Some people think the top ten list is a joke. But its not, even here in Florida Orlando/Tampa they have a top 10 list and it works as the list in okc.
You know its a show and they want to attract more then just us gearheads so they have to mix kt up with some personal drama.

The shit talking before, during and after goes along with street racing and always will so I doubt that's staged...

Been watching these guys race for years, they just so happen to have a TV show now lol.

completely agree. its just id bet both my boys that its still staged/scripted in some way (someone mentioned the police block off the streets they use.)

i bet there's a list.
i bet the cars/people are real.
i bet they race for positions.
i bet they talk shit to eachother.

i just dont bet that the police are so lenient when they do show up...
every time they go out the police show up...
etc. etc. etc. ^.-

The people are real, the cars are real, the racing is real. If any of you all have watched cash for days(or something like that) by 1320 video most of these guys are on there racing and getting ran out by the cops. I don't know about the show but I'm sure the cops do block off the roads I mean they have a big spot light out there.

I swear they accidentally showed a shot in the first episode of that racing spot with police cars in the distance like the road was blocked off.

Im sure some of its scripted but w/e, its a car about badass cars, ill take it.

i take it for what it is
a fun show with badass rides and racing. my wifey says this is a terrible guy soap show and shes right! comes right after fast and loud so its the one day a week i get to geek out.
