Me and some friends are talkin about hittin the track this weekend, and Im tryin to borrow PI96gt's radials...but I only have 2:73s. Would it be a bad Idea to run those tires? Im thinking I might bog, or have to rev it up and launch to the point where I might break somethin. I cant run my cobra r's cause one of the tires got a nail in it the other day, so I have my stocks on the back.

gears wont have much to do with it, you will bog pretty bad and as a rule of thumb you have a better chance of breaking something with drag radials then with slicks.

My friend snapped his stock axle bogging with stock gears and Nitto DRs, but he was launching really high. Just because you have DRs doesn't mean you have to go crazy with them. If you can't go with your current tires just use them and take it easy.

grow a pair! I launched on nitrous at 5000 RPM on a stock t45, stock rear end, and slicks.... Lets just say I still have the same rear end in my car..... It breaks, its time to upgrade...

Its the same as a street tire for all intensive purposes, wait till you run slicks and you get the top end wiggle....

Just keep in it and it will go away, its when people try to correct for it and they eat the wall...

1,000'.... full size front tires, and slicks out back. the back end of the car will sway left to right until you let off the throttle, it feels like your in a full size pick up with the side walls deflecting and just rolling over, its AWESOME. Love the feeling but with skinnies, its gone.
