e-brake?

mine barely works wont hold on a hill. i was wondering whats hold the e-brake in place is there a locking brake pad on the rear rotor? is it easy to replace

i think you can tighten the cables, problem is they tend to stretch out over the years.

There was a recall on them many years ago for our cars... is your car a used car that maybe didn't take advantage of that recall?

mine hardly works eather but I have an auto and never use it anyway. Im probiblyjust going to detach the cable on mine to get it out of the way.

The recall was about 8 years ago. It was for the very thing that Brad is complaining about. The brake would not hold on hills. They fixed mine but since then the handle pulls way high up. I wasn't too happy with the quality of the fix but at least it was fixed. I'm not sure where you would look that up.

Try here... it didn't show anything for my car but that might be because I took it in and had it fixed.

so i found it i just go to the ford dealer and say it was recalled awhile back?

recall i believe is obsolete, thats why i have about 10 kits in my obsolete box from ford. I get all the obsolete parts from our ford store every year
