Hello all,
I'm new here but in the middle of my project,soI figured I would join.
My project stated off life as 95 gt, but now a 68 fastback body is sitting on the sn95 platform and slowly transforming into my dream car. Pics to come soon.

Welcome! Looks awesome! How will the front work out? the 95's nose looks longer, the quarter didn't seem to cover it all. Definitely looking forward to seeing more!

Well, actually the sn95 wheel base is about 7 inches shorter than the 67/68 cars. That fender was just a old junk one we cut down to "test" before any of this project got started. The new replacement fenders are where we are at in the project currently but the front nose has been mocked up. I'll try to get some more "current pics up.

Holy custom work batman.

You're gonna have a lot ahead of you to make that project work.
But in the end, you may have something show/feature worthy.

Here is pic of the nose. I wanted to point out, we started will the "roughest" parts I had. The 68 was bought for the roof line only. The whole project was approached in the mindset of "is it even possible". As of right now the back of the car has been roughed in and the kit, new quarters, trunk lid and taillight panel installed. The doors & fenders are being replaced currently, but I feel like we are in the final part of the mock up stage.
Best part is... I turn the key, it starts, it idles, it moves, everything with the drive train works perfectly.

I just enjoying the ride on this project, I love fox / sn95 mustangs, I have 6 currently. a 83 coupe, 84 hatch "93 cobra clone red", 85 top gt, 88gt "93 cobra clone teal", 95 gt-vert "Saleen clone" and this 95 "Eleanor".
The Eleanor had been a project I wanted to do for years, then I thought if I put it on a sn95, I get big disk brakes, power steering, a/c, Fuel injection, & and a lot more...for a FRACTION of the cost it would take to build a true 67/68.
Don't get me wrong I still have my "other" 67 fastback, but think I'll still hang on to her for another day.

Ha, yea... Lets just say I'm getting better with Fiberglass each day, this car already has a lot of it. The dash isn't that bad looking in person. I had to cut 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off the sides & the entire top off, "all the way back to the defrost vent", to get it to fit inside the car.
But it all works, belive it or not the hardest part of it all so far has been getting the windshield wipers to work, the linkage of the 68 is inside, the linkage on the 95 is outside... I'm still having nightmares about it...
