Closer to running but still no cigar. Sunday night we hooked up the starter cables and put a brand new battery in and tried to fire it, but could only get it to run by spraying ether in the intake. Checked the injectors and the spark plugs and both are firing so that leads us to believe it's a fuel pressure related issue...probably either filter or regulator since the pump is new. We haven't had a chance to look into it just yet. But we were able to bolt the bed down and put the interior back together, as well as finishing up the new brakes in the front and checking that all of the new front suspension was tight. Front wheels are now back on and the truck is on the ground again. And I changed my mind one more time on the intake tube setup, it's a little bit of a twist on my original idea but I really like how it turned out and will hopefully be staying this way now.

Does this truck still have the high pressure pump in the frame rail on the driver side? My '88 did. Also, mine wouldnt start when I got it and there was a ground connection right behind the headlight by the battery that had pulled out of it connector, but I dont believe my injectors were firing at all.

Negative on the high pressure pump...but when I checked underneath I figured out that my fuel filter is brand new so that's a plus.

I checked the codes on it today and most were obviously related to the egr delete etc. but one is probably the nail in the coffin for what's going on with it; code 542 Fuel pump secondary circuit fault. Already been doing some thread digging and haven't really turned up shit so far :deeplist:
