F8l 97 is out

At midnight of May 6th my moms boyfriend woke up to the sound of a loud pop, my mom then wakes up and sees light outside and goes and looks then i am woken with the worse news of my life... my car caught fire and burned :cry:







the cause of the fire was a short in a wire (and yes i did cry, like a baby)

That would be a challenge to rebuild her....you would need a full donor car, that fire got everything from your dash forwards. It pretty much hit the heart, lungs, kidneys of your car. I see where you would want to rebuild, and it could be done, Im just gonna warn you Im sure it is not going to be cheap. You would really have to figure out a great build that would have you replacing everything that got destroyed, LSX SWAP!

the pop was one of the tires, the dash is that way cause of the firefighters putting it out

man that sucks, how is your Insurance?! Also what wires shorted? I would assume it was something aftermarket as a shorted wire should have nothing more then a blown fuse.

I have told many many customers that I could not work on their car because they ran power wires with no fuses. I would either need to fix it by installing a fuse holder or a fire ext. I shit you not one customers friend right after I said that leaned forward to the kid and said,"NAW DAWG... That is that "high current wire" you will smell it before it catches fire." I just agreed with him that he was right, you will smell it BEFORE it catches fire. Won't be able to stop it but you WILL smell it.

That really sucks. I would be devastated if that happened to my car. Please tell me you had comp insurance on it...

But honestly, I wouldn't try and rebuild that. It looks like it's way too far gone and would probably end up costing way more to restore than it would to just go out and find another car.
