Yea, swapping a rear would be a pretty big undertaking for someone not familiar.
On these cars, the intake is already pretty good, so a cold air intake does basically nothing. In some cases, they actually hurt performance because they are made of a metal that ends up getting very hot, and bringing hotter air into the motor.
I know the split port swap scared you, but break it down like this:
You are unbolting your intakes, unbolting your heads. I think in total there are like 30 bolts, that all look pretty much the same. You are cleaning the surfaces off, then slapping on a different set of heads and intakes while putting on new gaskets.
This would be a good time for a coolant and oil change.
I would not say do the cam, because that's a bit more of an undertaking, but heads and intakes is literally undoing bolts and putting them back in, just in a particular order.
Otherwise, do what Orange said, pull parts off, and put them back on cleaned up and painted. Make it look good.
