well so far i have ordered a set of sideskirts color matched already , i have a GT-40 upper and lower , a set of 24lb injectors , an intake elbow adapter , gasket set , and im going to snag a 70mm mafs housing from a 96 Tbird from the junkyard today....
I also found out that the 93 xr7 5.0 HAS a cobra cam in it already stock !!!!!! next ille need a 70mm throttle body but ille need to sell a few things or trade to get that..
i think im also going to port the lower a littlebit and open up the intake to match my intake elbow if its not already the same size, my elbow is 70mm..

look what I got today for 40 bucks, SCORE !!!!! I sold my painted gt40 for 200 and got this stuff and have some left for other stuff I may need, also my side skirts came today in the mail !!! I also put the 70mm mafs on and adapted it to the stock air box, deleted the air silencer and put on the msd coil, lol and actually I feel a difference and the car runs great..I will do the gt40 swap when I get a 70mm throttlebody
WOW, look at how small that 5.0 mafs is off of my car, that opening in it cant be larger than 50mm and it has a screen in front of it too..Cmon ford..
I also found some veryVERYU rare black wood inserts for my car so I rid that ugly lepard wood color it has inside, and it will match the gray perfectly.

LoL. That one was funny Jones. I was thinking the same thing. Frank's build thread for 2 months then I'm gonna sell it and start over with another turdbox.

lol,far from a turd box....im willing to bet my car has less rust and miles on it than 80% of cars on here, just saying...not that's its nicer but give it a year or two, shes a keeper for shur...

nightmare, yes my lower looks exactly like that with the offset runners, mine is an explorer gt40, not gt40 tubular...same flow number but I think mine will provide m1-2 less HP,lol....don't get me wrong those tubulars are very sweet looking but I cannot afford one..and are you shur ille need to calibrate my mafs???? why?? I know its larger but that little bit it is cant the ecu compensate for?? its on and running great, actually beter than with the other stuff on and more power and better engine growl.

I think he means Ford Explorer gt40, not tubular gt40.

200 for a tubular and I would one jealous mustang owner!

Edit: oh didn't see he already responded lol.

Yeah I feel the money pocket, but I want it sooo bad.!

I believe you should still have a form of the a9l computer. That is still what is considered an "early" form of mass air, and you will need to have the sensor recalibrated for what ever injectors you want to run at the sensor its self.....You change it up so often....never know if you are running the stock 19's or stepping it up to 24's, 32's or 36's.

As far as the intake goes, From the look of the picture, it looked more like the standard HO intake and not the explorer intake......could not see the third runner sticking out a little further on each end.

no explorer had an HO intake if im correct, maby a bronco did or something...and I personally pulled this intake off a 99 low mile explorer that was in a wreck, I shoulda pulled the heads but I can find explores all day in the yard by me..and an HO intake does not have the offset runners..heres pics of the same exact intakes I pulled, one was from a 98 ( the chrome one I sold ) and the other is from a 99 and I just got done sanding and prepping it,its gonna be very nice when done..see the staggered runners on the lower????? gt40,cobra,explorer same difference

SANY0002_zpsf8290726.jpg

and if im correct the HO intake doesn't have as large of a rear side and cooling fins on it..

and I stuck my stock mafs into the 70mm unit so I can still use my stock 19's..yes, my 93 5.0 came with 19's because it is an HO and it DOES have a cobra cam stock...I was looking into what ecu I had because I was reading of how well I think its the a9l???? or something is good for responding to mods..a cobra ecu I cannot use because I guess the manual transfer function is as is and cannot adapt or have a written strategy written in it...but im thinking I have a decent ecu if I put on the 70mm maf unit and didn't experience any idle issues or anything..so next will come the gt40 and if it runs well then a 70mm Tbody...and I will do cams and heads when I have money and decided what I want, ille have no problem taking off the intake and stuff all over again, and ille do rockers too...in time in time

Let me get this straight. 80% of the cars on this site have rust?? I don't think I could name 2 members on here with rust.

These threads are just always the same as your previous threads. Here's another cougar that I'm going to show you on a mustang site, blah. Is this what blast means? Did I blast ya?

Yes the 5.0 explorer intake was a HO intake, and if you count three from the center, do you see how the third one is further out from the other ones....that is what offset means......Why do you insist on challenging someone every time someone is trying to help. You clearly have no f***ing clue what the hell you are talking about. You DO NOT HAVE A COBRA CAM stock.
