A speedcal will cure it without the use of a speedo gear. I just swapped my speedo gears and it's still off by about 5mph.

well how do you use one? i have no clue what they are at all.

:rollinglaugh: Sorry Jerry :dunno:

A 23 tooth speedo gear will put it within 5% accuracy. Mine's off ~ 5mph or so.

Daily driver, highway driving everyday, looking for good gas mileage, but some power also. Will be building a motor down the road. 3.73 or 4.10's????

5.0? I'd go 3.55s
Especially if you'll be building up the motor in the future

Sorry. It is a 95 gt. I have 3.73's now. but getting a locker soon. Thinking about change ratio. 3.73's gas is not bad at all.

I'm really debating between the 4.10's and 4.30's. The more ridiculous, the better.

I heard something about that the Automatic Overdrive Tranny wont shift into the Overdrive gear at WOT. Is that true?

94 gt aode. I just purchased a set of ford racing 4.30's for my car. I got them new for 100 bux and I dont care about gas and do basically no highway driving. I'm waiting on my new aode to to come in and then ill have someone set these gears up for me.

Im definitely going to add the speedcal eventually but can you get away without using it or is it something thats required for the trans to shift properly?

I can hold out if I had too, but I know when that trans comes in I'm going to want these gears set up.

Shouldn't the answer be really simple for you then? If you want "the more ridiculous the better" gear then why are you debating on 4.10 VS 4.30?
