getting 3.73s solid spacer or not?

im getting 3.73s for my 95gt i talked to a guy and he recommended getting a solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve, now my car is stock except for an exhaust and will most likely never see more then maybe 300rwhp and not a whole lot of track time, should i get the spacer or not i think the crush sleeve will be fine what do you guys think?

thats what i figured also, im gonna take my car to the track but its not gonna see like 4k launches on drag radials or anything crazy

but a crush sleeve will be fine to hold 300rwhp with plenty of room to grow. who ever builds your rear end, make sure they do a qaulity job to many hacks out there that will rip ya off.

yea im taking it to a high performance shop its gonna be like $275 to get them put in but i dont trust myself with that, wayyyyy to small of a margin for error

basically a round bar that replaces the crush sleeve. You still need to use a crush sleeve, to make sure you get the right pinion depth, and preload. after its all set up you take it back apart, measure the crush sleeve with a caliper, and then add the correct shims to get the same thickness as your crushed crush sleeve. i beleive its usually a .0028" to .0030" shim, but i cant remember exactly right now.

they said the crush sleeve can compress more after a while and throw off the pinion depth

"apparently" i dont know either or will be fine if set up correctly.
