I just picked up one of these bad boys...I bought the motorsports one with the suction cup mount for the stang, and some 3M mounts for my snowboard helmet.

Prepare for some EPIC mustang videos this spring

Re: GoPro HD Camera

I have the older version and I'm not a big fan at all. Sound quality was awful, and from what I understand, it did not get much better. Here is a video that a friend of mine recorded, when he mounted a GoPro HD on my car two weeks ago.

Re: GoPro HD Camera

I plan to get one come tax time. I just dont know how much Id trust mounting it outside the stang when running high speeds unless I had a safety tether considering my luck it would fall off. It would be awesome to to have for some of the cruises we go on and hell runs down the twisty back roads here in Pa.

Has anyone had any issues with it falling off mounted outside the car?

I haven't mounted mine outside the car yet but I did mount it to the side of my helmet and ride my ATV with it through the woods and didnt have any issues, even when I got it wrapped up in some vines. That suction cup is pretty solid.

Its not really built for amazing sound quality...more so awesome video and mounting abilities. Any camera going 100 mph is going to pick up all wind noise.

I've heard mounting it on the back bumper makes for some sick exhaust videos.

I'll be using it all winter on my snowboard...and come spring, the stang will get some action.

Re: GoPro HD Camera

white95...have you used yours to take any pics yet?

The wide angle lense would make for some badass rolling shots.

Not even talking about wind noise, it's the quality of sound, and while they have improved it, it's still pretty weak. I can understand the whole appeal of the plug and play, but if you actually look around online, and build your own system you end up with much better components and quality at the end of the day for possibly less money.

True but its hard to beat the video quality of this camera...I didn't buy it for the sound. I mainly bought it for snowboarding and some random mustang videos.
