usually it would but apparently making a 16 yr old on his way to school pay $240 for TINT tickets is "just doing your job"

that sucks.. my headlights on my cobra are smoked but have never been given crap for it..

my windows on my DD are 20% all the way around, and again i dont get given shit for it.. Ive even sat next to cops at lights and they havent cared.. In my state it is illegal to have any tint on the front windows.

Thankfully mine looks light enough from certain angles since my car is white and my interior is light gray. Otherwise is looks dark and good.(helps hide my sterio)..

Good to know i can deny a cop putting my windows up but by that point i dont think it would matter.

I can see why they pulled you over for your tails man.. Thats dark as hell. Good luck with that. Your gunna keep getting pulled over thats for sure

I've wanted to tint my tails for a while now because I like the look so I went on the NYS website and poked around for headlight and tail light laws. All I could find was the headlights have to be DOT and the tails haven't to light up red, no mention of tint or anything was on there. If you use Niteshades or the like its a transparent tint so unless you really layer it on there the lights still light up just as bright as without tint so I don't see why it should be a big deal.

u can see mine with no problem when i have my lights or brakes on. i guess the law says nothing can be on the lights that dont let light out or something like that.

Here it is in a nut shell,

When you are young you can't give them any excuse to pull you over.
If tint isn't legal take it off, tails tinted then remove it etc etc etc.
Young people are easy targets and cops will just keep racking up the fines as long as you make it easy.
