Anyone else have driver skills they can loan me? Went to the track yesterday and ran 3 times with a best of 13.8 at 104. Conditions were pretty good. 60' was 2.2 :wall:

Car weighs 3645 with me in it and i have 3.73's. I figure if i could drive it would lay down some high 12's at 108-111. Help me feel better by telling me your crappy driver track times please...........

You 60ft is killing you lol plus the weight.. What kinda tire are you on? Trust me just relax and go another night and you will see those times start to plumit. 104 mph is at least good for mid to low 13,s

better than me. last time i went to a 1/4 mile track, i got 14.5 :crying: but that was about 3 years ago or so.

earlier this month in the 1/8 mile i got a 9.1x with 2.2x 60' times. and yes, i suck at drag racing. cant launch worth a crap and still manage to get wheel hop all the way thru 1st

How many times have you been racing? It's just practice. Nobody starts out a John Force, not even John Force.

I've raced over the years but only drive my car about once every 2-3 weeks now. That may have a bit to do with it. I run 315 nitto drags. They usually dont hook up but they gripped pretty good this time. As for sticking with the auto i actually did ran right after i did the swap. Without any other mods i gained .1 in the 1/4 so thats not it.

I was launching at about 2500-3000 rpm and feathering the clutch. Looking back at how sticky it was (lots of vht) i maybe should have just dumped it at 3k and floored it. Its really not so much the time that bothers me but the mph. With the power my car makes i should be trapping much higher. I may need higher gears to take advantage.

Oh well though. I guess i will enjoy curvy roads instead of the short straight one.

adios

as long as its not slammmed you wontr see a difference. normally 1.5 in drop wont hurt anything on your launch. wont help, but wont hurt it either

no street tires..

I dont know, long tubes are a big help, I guess Ive got a good tune and like every bolt on...although i would love to get pi cams and see how that helps me out.

i was trapping 98, then I put an o/r h pipe on an went one cold night and was trapping 101-102 all night.

Of course I couldnt hook worth a shit with my street tires...therefore the 14.1 with a 2.26 60 foot time was the best all night haha.

Its not that big of a deal though...I dont really feel like spending large amounts of money on drag radials or something just so I can post online and say my car ran mid/high 13s.

I might be wrong but doesn't the mph drop when you hook up and run really well? b/c i've seen some 12 with trap speeds of like 96?

mph does drop when you have better traction..but I dont think its that much...and theres no way in hell anyone ran 12s with a trap speed of 96 dude...maybe high 13s with trap speed of 96

I dont know how much it changes but you may drop 2-3 mph tops..someone correct me if im wrong.
