Keep in mind the 99 cobras have a much weaker bottom end than the 03/04 cobras. Basically you can't go crazy with boost without building the bottom end unlike the 03/04s

CLEAN 1999 SVT cobra unmolested. Guy is very desperate and will let it go for $10k!!! Im sooo tempted to see what I could get for my 5.0l(black booked at $7800 last year before mods) and butt kiss parents to get the extra. Throw a blower on this and I have basically a termy.

not even close. you don't have a tranny half as good as the T56, you don't have a built motor, the heads aren't as good, the IRS isn't half as good, the interior is half as nice, and many other differences.

i wouldn't waste the money, your insurance will easily double or triple at your age and its not worth it at all.... your better off putting 3k into your current mustang

I don't like how the '99 Cobra didn't get the special seats, rear bumper, 31 spline axles, etc. Not to mention the recalls they had.

BTW: 94 wasn't the last year for the 5.0 in the stang. (if the info in your sig is correct)
just save your $ and put in the current car

He meant his car was worth $7800 Last year, not that his car is the last year of the 5.0L.

Its a tough decesion. If it was an 01+ I'd say go for it but the fact that its a 99 kinda makes wanna say skip it and look for another.

$7800 is what it was black booked at BEFORE I did mods to it, not before the modular engines :p. I saw pics of the interior, sadly mine is nicer looking with my Mach 1 seats. It's either A) save the $3 grand and finish building my new engine which will make my car faster than this cobra or B) save the money for the cobra. Keeping mine is probably the way I'm doing things though, I do have about $1000+ worth of engine parts for my 5 litre at my house right now :).

Not sure what to tell you..I'm selling mine due to mileage and I'm tired of having such an old car..I've never owned something newer than 98..

But keep in mind, its always hard to get the money you put in a car back out of it.

The way i look at it, if you've owned your car for a little while, you know the in's and out's of it. You know what all has been done
to the car, what minor issues it needs, and how the car drives.. No sense in starting all over with a newer car, that at the time might
seem like a good deal, but who knows what minor, (or major) things need to be done to it, regardless of mileage. My 2 cents.
