I want to replace the carpet inside the Mustang on the same day I install the new Corbeau XRS seats. From reading comments on AM, it appears to be a pain in the ass with all the cutting and other issues.
-Where can you get quality replacement carpet for our cars? I'm going with black (if it matters) and I'm not sure of any other options. Would using spray dye or some other method be acceptable? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again, -Robb

Pain In the ass ? It's not that bad I guess not everything is perfect and made for retards if you can't make holes for seat studs and seat belts you fail... All in all it's super easy and there carpet kit works great ...

I have the one from AM in my car. Wasn't bad at all. You have to cut the squares out in the middle for the center console to screw down, and notches in the back for the rear seat brackets.

When I put the seats in I poked the hole from under the car so it was in the right spot.

Robb, I have seen your neatness, etc. You should have no trouble with it.

I will say, you may end up with a wrinkle or two that you just can't get rid of, mine are on the vertical back panel under the rear seat, probably the worst looking part of the whole install, and it's not even bad.

I forgot the name of the carpet. I think latemodelrestoration sells it, but I got it from a website for 170 IIRC.

Pretty easy. Went from this.

OK, Great! They made it sound so complicated. Thats a relief. I'll check out LMR carpet too. I'll update when parts start rollin' in.
Thanks for the pics!

iirc they're all made by the same company, ACC, so don't bother shopping around for a better fitting one. I'm doing this soon too, and adding some deadening.

OK, Thanks. I appreciate the info. I have been on & off working on the interior of the car. The new Corbeau seat and carpet is some of the last pieces to get me motivated to have it completed. I feel good about it and motivated to pull off what I have envisioned.
