Well, since I have been working at a dealership now, I have been learning about all the different maintenance packages offered for newer vehicles and I thought, what the heck, might as well give my mustang the "new car" treatment. Anyways, I decided to do some regular brake service as I have never done it on my car except for when I change pads and rotors, but since it's been 2 years since that and my car sits all winter, I thought it wouldnt be bad. I was wrong. All slide pins were pretty dry, and the passenger front was bone dry, probably one of the causes of my bad brake vibration lol. Lubed everything up, but it together and wow, made the brakes feel A TON better, still has minor vibration when braking from 50mph and up, but everything is much smoother. I'd defiantly recommend doing this every year, can't believe how cheap and effective it is. All it took was about 45 mins for front and rear, and an $8 tube of Motorcraft silicone brake grease and some brake cleaner :).

while you were at it should have thrown on some SS linea and changed the b fluid.. but deffinately a good thing to check on that. specially since ur car sees some extremes in weather.

the rear slides are almost always froze up, usually end up needing heat (small handheld torch) to remove them and a wire wheel to remove the rust, along with a rat tail file to clean the slide bore in the caliper bracket, then a descent amount of silicone lubricant and you're good to go.

i havent seen too many front ones stick on the PBR setups, but the cast style caliper setup they do stick, not nearly as bad as the rears, but still worth checking.

Haha it doesn't see the extreme weather here in Canada, I park it for those 4 months where the weather sucks :p. I'm getting cobra brakes next year/over winter so I'll change brake fluid then, but thanks for all the help guys!

I just did a brake fluid exchange on my car, made the pedal much firmer, the old fluid was green ish... and milky at times. But once that new fluid made its way to the bleeder valves, I felt much better.

one of my rear pins froze up on my calipers years ago...ended up having to buy re-man'd calipers but it made a big difference.
