I will try to make this short as possible...

My car runs fine, couldnt run better.

Installed a K&N CAI, swapped the MAF onto the housing that comes with the K&N.

Finished installing, started the car, ran like crap.

Unplugged the MAF and it runs normal.

Reinstalled the stock intake, car runs great.

Is there something about the K&N MAF location that I need to know about? Am I missing something? Help! :)

Always disconnect the battery so it can "learn" again

Also make sure you didnt get some oil on the MAF sensor from the filter or just from moving it around

Not trying to insult you in any way but make sure you have it pointed in the right direction =) trust me, i`ve messed that up. Also make sure all your clamps are nice and tight so your not getting unmetered air

Ill disconnect the battery while I put it back on again today. The maf is clean.
And it only mounts one way on the k&n, can't reverse it! :)

I noticed in the picture that the housing the MAF goes in on the K&N is not pictured with the rest of the parts on American Muscles site... I wonder if its not original to the kit? The directions i DL'd from K&N's website show to use the stock MAF housing. hmm... I might have to try something else....

is anyone else reading this? lol
