The ambient tempature gets hot as hell from so much work/spinning and in return it loses power, one of the reasons why you see ice bags on top of PD blowers when they sit at a race track. Anything sitting on top of an engine that has been beat on is gonna lose efficiency.
I would beat on the car and after a little while it felt like I was driving a H/C/I Mustang, not a H/C/I with a KB.
