Thanks you guys. Magic, I dont know. It depends on a couple of different factors. One is the guy building the car needs to get surgery in the neck month on his neck. So that will delay the build a little bit. But to be honest, it gives me more time to decide if I'm going to repaint the whole car since I'm being a woman about the decision. How the car builder doesnt want to put a bullet in my head is beyond me.

I just want the car finished one way or another by January 1 which is completely do-able at this point.

Dude...you are actually a pleasure to work with. Its hard to find customers who can appreciate the work and thought that goes into something like this. Plus have the patience to wait for it to all come together.

Looks great, power coat is the way to go. None of upkeep of polished aluminum or chrome. When it comes time to redo mine this is the route I'm taking. Can't wait to see it in the car.

Couldn't agree more

Sorry, I'll just call him K. I dont know if he wants me using his name and it feels so impersonal calling him "the guy". My apologies, K.

End of the day shots. Spank bank material for some of us.

Well at least now I know who is reading posts and who is just looking at the pictures. :p

I only wish I could do mechanical work like this. You guys on this site who can do this work is tremendous. However, I know that when people do my work, they do nothing but **** it up. And I always tell people they should leave the real work to the professionals. So that's what I'm doing, leaving the real work to him.

nice that you know what's up and are taking interest tho..instead of just dropping it off and "let me know when it's done"

Nah, nothing like that. K and I communicate via email probably close to 15 times per day over decisions and communications and such, which is awesome. I really love what it being done and I'm understanding so much more about things as we move forward. I only wish I lived closer to him so I could help out and just sit there and learn. But I would likely just get in the way. I could at least run for food though and entertain with jokes for a little while! I had a vision of how I wanted this whole build, but it has gone beyond that vision at this point (in a good way). My grandfather was a mechanic after he finished his tours in WW2 and worked on some great cars. The love of cars and custom cars kind of skipped over my dad. He's more into wood working. I appreciate cars and building them, but I suck at doing it myself. I know my limitations. Certainly if I had someone who could teach me I'm a good study, but that's a different story all together.

I'm sure if you guys are professionals in this line of work, you get cars in that were worked on by other people and you think "what the **** happened here?! Why didnt they just get it done right in the first place!" Well, that's how it is in my profession. Quit screwing around and get it done right by the best person you can. That's what I wanted to do.

No need to defend yourself on any level of it Kid. This is nothing short of amazing. I wouldn't be able to do it.

No problem...man. I'm Kevin and my shop is called K and K Custom Mustangs. Even guys that do a lot of their own mechanic work will bring me stuff to work on. Its just not feasible for your average guy in their home garage to invest thousands of dollars in a paint booth, frame machine, powder coat oven, spray room, lifts, lathe, etc.

But make no mistake, Kidk9 is the mastermind behind what you see. I'm just doing the grunt work. and glad to do it.

the only downside i see to having kevin build it is that he now neglects his own build!
