I just installed my gt40 heads and 1.7 rockers on my 1995 mustang. haven't upped the timing yet, but there seems to be a loud knock right under the valve cover on the driver side. I checked the clearance on the rocker arms and stock valve covers, and they clear. anybody have any input. I know the roller rockers make some noise, but this seems a little too loud. let me know what you guys think. thanks.

My passenger side rocker on #1 was hitting the oil filler baffle. What valve covers do you have?

I have Fox valve covers, I never had a set of the OEM 94/95 covers, so I'm not sure on the clearance.

Does it sound like a rocker taping sheetmetal? Or a knock?

It sounds more like rocker taping. I pulled the oil filter and there is no shaving so I don't think it would be a bearing.
