So, I forgot I ordered two sets of bulbs in order to try both beam patterns - below is the 4 bulb - I'm keeping these in instead, quite a bit brighter on the plate.

The first pic is the "WLED-W" bulb. The second, brighter pic is the "WLED-W4" 194 wedge.

Myth Busters tried it and it was a big fat epic fail.

lol am I the only one that tinted mine so the people cant see my plate # ??? haha

lol, both of mine work, but are so dim that i actually got a ticket for not having any license plate lights

lol, mine have been burnt out for about 2-3 years now. the bulbs actually melted the sockets. i have new sockets, new regular bulbs, and new lens sitting in my room, but honestly, i like the way it looks w/o the lights. so far the cops havent said anything to me either, aside from that one time i got a verbal warning for "playing your music too loud and your license plate lights are out. you should get them fixed" about a year and a half ago. lol :hammer:

the LEDs actually look good, i was planning on going with some ebay ones tho, IF i ever fix them

Really? I thought that they tested the plates that go over, the tint and out running. Not the Photoblocker stuff.

My New License Plate Bulbs

I bought three types of LEDs, and finally decided to put first from the left

old setup with a one propriety bulb :laughing5:
in person is a less yellow

new setup with white LEDs
in person looks better because the picture has too much glare
yes I know, Croatian license plate is f..... ugly :angry4:

Yeah, I had one set of 7-led bulb ones and one set of 4-SMD (flat ones)

Liked the 7-led in my car so the 4-SMD ended up on the explorer
