Some tint shops that offer guarantees wont tint the dot matrix or whatever that thing is called because it will eventually bubble.

yeah theres a gap, its because we have weird little dots at there very top and if you tint on it it turns white or sometimes the tint itself will not adhere, i solved it by having a piece of vinyl at the top

ah ok, never even noticed that on the car. I'll have to check into that when I get mine done sometime in the spring.

+1 the tint shop here puts a strip of vinyl over the dot matrix and then tints it.
