just got a 96 Gt for $300 on monday, pretty much just a shell with a good rear end thats it. Unibody is bent behind K member and control arm seems to be bent, Car only had 21K on it so i just couldnt walk away and let it die...gonna see if i can bring it back to life, its currently at the frame shop hope to get it by next weekend because the twin turbo kit will be here monday and i have to pull the motor out of my Bronco II and tear it down yet!
Gonna be a Twin Turbo 351W carb motor..i beleive it was a 92' F-250 efi motor before..Rear is currently the stock 8.8 with 3.27L...heres a few pics of it and the motor ill be using along with my big beast that its in lol

Should be sweet build! I have a 418w that Im putting in my car no tt though!
Good luck keeping that block together with any kind of boost, try to find a late model block their cheap and will take the power that you will be throwing at it.

12 gallon RCI Fuel Cell, Ford Racing Gasket set, and some old rusty pedals arrived today! Iam starting to hear it from the girlfriend with most parts sittin at my house in boxes lol, gotta get the Mustang back so i can start apparently the guy who has the car is not havin too much luck with it, most likely ill be takin it to another shop see what they can do. Iknow this sucks all these parts and the cars still not done! but if theres one thing i keep stressing to myself its DO NOT RUSH THIS, will only haunt you in the long run.. but here ya go guys enjoy hopefully some teardown pics this weekend see if i get to it.

Re: My Twin Turbo 351W Build (carb)

ok so got the car back its almost straight but still needs work.......found a v6 for 600 that is straight but has no title i might just cut from the firewall forward off and weld it back on not sure yet

But ive recently pulled motor from the B2 and tore it down the bearings and crank looked really bad how it didnt blow a rod i dont know ( will post pics of bearings later had to give crank as core oops) so i now have a new(reman) crank and bearings 208 for the kit. and to my suprise the motor was completely STOCK!! E9 Block E5 heads not sure about cam too many E #'s lol.

Ive also got my cam, springs, lifters, and timing chain and gear in the mail
debating on having the block honed and clean for 240 that a local shop quoted me..really should have this done

Also might buy a set of pistons and rods if i can find the right price.. then the only oringal parts will be the Block, Heads, And valves everything else will be brand new and most of it will not be stock. YAY!

Sry for not keepin you guys up to date either been pretty busy towing.

Re: My Twin Turbo 351W Build (carb)

ok good news found a car in south carolina for 500 from godspeed motorsports just a shell but is straight lol

stripped it completely and only found 1 spot of rust which was from some idiot boltin the exhaust hanger to the setbelt and it pulled through
so i am goin to fill that in then finish my undercoating and get ready for some paint...

heres a few pics of what ive done so far, hoping for rods soon and ill start building the motor hopefully lol...so much to do so little time in a day :BangHead:

Re: My Twin Turbo 351W Build (carb)

ok so as of right now iam still waiting to buy a roll cage but i think iam gonna get one by next weekend hopefully only a 8 point for now because i dont really wanna cut the dash apart yet ill add that later.

but ive recently got eagle I beam forged rods for 63.50 on ebay great deal there

samples of the two paints i have picked out are gonna be in tommorrow.. 03 dark shadow gray metallic & 95 anthracite poly

umm.. the 15 inch rims actually clear the calibers now.. had to cut the bar off the bracket but no harm there and the wheels and tires look great for now

prolly gonna pull the cam bearings friday and hone the block out.. then send it off to be flushed after it returns ill finally be starting the build, when i get to this step i let you know a little better what all i'am doin which is pretty much nothing but using a stock motor with all new parts

Re: My Twin Turbo 351W Build (carb)

numbered the pistons today, stripped the block of everything (freeze plugs, bolts, oil relocator, motor mounts) was goin to pull cam bearings after i honed the block

honed the left side of the blocks cylinders turned out really nice, got to the back one on the right side.. and its not good that cylinder was hitting the wall somehow but doesnt show any signs of doin so its weird..( maybe the guy who build it switch pistons and ignored the damage)

needless to say i dont know how deep it really is but i would thing its too deep to bore it, and of the little research ive done so far i dont think a .060 bore is a good idea

so if i could get some good advice here pls i think i definelty wanna stay with a 351w just for the option of goin to a 454 if i want, but any websites for shortblocks, longblocks, or even crate motors would be awesome ive looked around can get a yearone 400hp/418tq for 4000

i mean worst case is i go to the ez pull junkyard and pay 100 for a complete 351w and use the parts i have but id rather not i want good internals lol

this freakin sucks gonna delay my alot more SOB
