Got off work yesterday and noticed it was raining and all my buddies with jeeps and Z-71's and what not were asking me if I needed a ride home and I'm like "what?" Its just rain!! Sure enough I open the side door of the facility to where I parked my car and saw this. This is after the weather started to clear up and I was wading over my knees in sewage and rain water. It was a lil worse before this pic.

Car was towed to the dealership. Never tried to start it or anything. Just left her....had no choice. And the water was much deeper on the passenger side cause I was parked on the side of the street. Almost over the top of the pasenger side tires.

Damn that sucks man...

I say just flush the oil a few times and you'll hopefully(fingers crossed) be okay..

the ECU has definitely got some water in it if it was much deeper on the pass side...

It may still be fine though you never know...

Did you open the doors at all? If the water wasn't to high in the passenger compartment, it may not be to bad. Being a newer car, I'd like to think the weather strips and seals are doing its job. Granted its not a water proof car either.

Well if you have insurance and still have a payment, welcome to your little damp paid off salvage titled car! :0)

Ouch! Reminds me of about a month ago here on my grad day, we got HAMMERED with rain like that too, flooded streets everywhere, and I sadly had to drive my car that day :'(. Drove like Win, water 1/2 way up the wheels, only thing it screwed up was my crappy NAPA clutch cable, new Ford one in and worked like a charm :).

My grand prix got stuck in water like this before it was mine, it was my step fathers before he messed up his back (he can't drive cars now, only trucks, vans, and SUVs). Luckily he's a great mechanic and fixed it, don't exactly know how i was only like 13 at the time and didn't care all that much to ask what he did or how he did it but it's not a salvage title or anything.

If you hurry and get the seats and carpet out before it starts to smell, you have a chance to save it. Once that stink starts, there's no getting rid of the smell...good luck with it, man.
