Nothing should thread into the PS pump shaft when you do it. You should only be using the jackscrew, the big nut, the clamshells and the collar.

The threaded insert things are for installing the gear, not removing it. :)

I have that same tool from Jegs, i used it on a UK spec Focus last week, it worked perfectly, just make sure its assembled correctly.

just keep at it and it will come off. Mine was on good and tight the first time i took it off, 13 years of road grime/dirt will do that, givit some cock and shell cum
