This is old, like before the sn95 was introduced old. Alot of the players in this shoot out aren't around anymore. Yes, there are many more "better" choices out there but this is for your enjoyment:

Holy crap the explorer intake made more power than the cobra the whole way and more than the tubular after 4,600 RPMs

lol, 89 tempo was my 1st car...everytime I shut the door trunk or hood the car would lose about 1lb of rust...hahahaha but what a runner it was, even hit a curb and drove it home 3 wheeling...FORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All these aftermarket things.... and Ford parts bring the highest numbers. Anyone else find this funny/awesome?


Keep in mind that article is probably 20 years old..alot has changed since. But still the gt40 family still holds its own in the intake world.

My mother traded her 88 in on the 94 gt(nice trade-up). When I came home and they told me that mom was going to get a new car, I could not have been less excited as I figured it would be something along the tempo lines. Man was I wrong, and shortly after my love affair started.
