Smog pump is there (yay) and i was thinking about buying the bbk h pipe with High flow cats. This should do the trick right? anything else i need to watch out for? also

I believe that originally connected to your exhaust.. It's part of your EGR/Smog pump system I think, I assume it was where some of the exhaust from the emissions systems went. Or... something like that. I'm sure someone knows the exact use. I just cut mine off, but I don't need Smog or EGR.

If you have cats i'm pretty sure you'll be fine. As far as I know that tube never connected to the exhaust, it was just an assumption on my part. If your smog/egr is all hooked up I wouldn't be too worried. But, as I said, I've never had to deal with emissions so it'd probably good if someone that has will chime in.

It's the air tube from the air pump. It will connect to the H pipe. It's there to help the cats heat up quicker at first start up. It's up to you if you want to keep it or not. It shouldn't make a differance in e-test or not. If you choose not to use the air pump remember to plug the tube on the h pipe or you'll have an exhaust leak.

thanks again dude. yeah i looked at the picture bbk had for its exhaust and theres a H pipe with another coming making it a ''T pipe'' between the cats as well.

what are the pros/ cons of hooking it up or not?

None. It's only needed to pass smog when the engine is cold which it woun't be anyway. You don't need it. You can install the smog pump or remove it with all the tubing and not be able to tell the difference except the engine bay will be cleaner.

The point is for the visual inspection if GA has any... All you really need are cats and as long as it blows numbers that are good enough to pass the sniffer then w/e. This is why I like OBDII cars better... no codes=pass.

That stinks. Here in Illinois they passed a law a few years ago that any car 1995 and older no longer needs to do emissions testing, any chance a similar law has passed in Georgia? Typically the southern states aren't quite as strict...something to look into maybe. Even here in Illinois it's not very widely known about the exception.

I was so ridiculously happy when i found out....so glad I didn't buy a 4.6L for so many reasons...
