Sorry asking for illegal help on the forum is forbidden. We don't condone illegally passed emissions however if you know someone on the forum who has done it then PM them.

Wow I just sounded like a mod there, my bad mods.

Pull your spout connector before you take it to the sniffer. It'll start, run and drive fine up to about 3000rpm's which is enough to run the test. The results will be better than a Prius. Almost.
I drive mine to a gas station just around the corner from the sniffer, pull the spout then get it sniffed. After the test, drive to the gas station, reinstall the spout.

Most stations do a visual test as well, they inspect the exhaust system for any defects. If they see anything disconnected or rigged they'll either hook it up or immediately fail it.

I'm a certified state inspector so I have to know all these things or I get in major trouble.

If you don't know where the spout is, you wouldn't even know it was disconnected.

CC95 is right. I have a 95 with the 5.0. I live north of Atlanta and have to pass emissions. When I bought the car, it did not have the cats, smog pump or EGR. I had MagnaFlow High Flow Cats installed for less than $300. Took it for emissions and they did a visual to see the cats (but they do not look for the EGR or smog pump), hooked it up to the OBD1 and stuck it with the sniffer probe. I pulled the spout out before the test and pulled it in front of the tester, no problem. It has passed 2 years (with 2 different testers) with flying colors. I have had the CEL come on for the lack of an EGR signal, but I have since had that cut off when the chip was programmed.
