performance question

hey guys maybe some one can shed a little light on this for me.i bought a 96 gt ragtop for my wife,its all stock except for 4.10 gears.my question is we like to play with our cars,so we went out to see how the car did against simalar cars other mustangs camaros so on.well didnt do good.decided to put gears in it,80 shot of nitrous,2 percent nitro methane mix.on the dyno stock we made 210 to the wheels.on the bottle we make 280hp 312 ftlbs.add the nitro methane 310 and 365 ftlbs.i ran what they said was an all stock 04 mustang him on regular tires i have nitto 555r drag radials.we left at a 20 mph roll he got me by a car.are the o4s that fast i thought they were about 35 hp more.any thoughts.but on the other hand ran a 97 lt1 z28 with spray got him by little more than 5 cars.wondering was that mustang realy stock?

that mustang doesnt sound stock.... my NPI 96 would beat stock PI 99-04s with just bolt ons and gears... I made 194 @ the wheels. If you're at 310HP either the dyno you're at is completely wacked out of spec, or he wasnt stock.

Also, if your making 310rwhp you would have destroyed a stock new edge... dunno what happened either.

test done on friends mustang dyno.6 month old dyno 5 runs back to back all runs with in 1 hp of each other.just could not believe me having bottle and nitro mix.that a stock 04 would get me. here is a pic of my car

Man anything can happen on the street, but it sounds like you have a totally wack dyno. Theres no way you put down 210rwhp stock npi. I would think though, that with a 80 shot and 4.1 gears you would beat a 2v pi easily with traction. Maybe he wasn't stock either?

had to find sheet 270 on the bottle before nitro mix.nitrous was 5 sizes bigger on fuel jet just for safety sake

80 shot of nitrous should not equal a 70 rwhp gain.

we wanted to be safe with the bottle.jetting should have been21/42 went with 26/42 so didnt get a 80 hp increase looking for rest of the sheets from the dyno.in the video u can see how rich it is.called my buddy going to put it back on dyno tommorow to see what kind of power were showing compare to last time.

I should have clarified. it should have equaled much less than that. a shot of nitrous is calculated at the flywheel, so you won't see near those numbers at the wheels.

From what I've seen on the dyno cars almost always make rear wheel numbers on the shot being sprayed my cars included and numerous customer cars
