So my dilema is that I just bought some bbk PN 2501 springs and I only installed the fronts to give it somewhat of a RAKED? look. So after putting these springs on and drove, they handled HORRIBLE... i mean HORRIBLE. Too much bounce and not enough great handeling. Should I put the rears on to handle better? :dontknow: If getting rid off the bbk's is the solution thats fine by me, however im looking to buy some Shocks/ Struts from bilstein or eibach to go with the possible ditching of the bbks for some eibach pro kits. Money isnt an issue right now bc of my tax return so pretty much any suggestions on the best spring/ shock/ strut kit money can buy would be awsome. BTW im not doing coilovers until I come back from my upcoming deployment, and im not lowering it more than 1.5 in. Did I mention its a 94 5.0 convt?

BBK is not exactly the best suspension company lol..

ide say H/R SS springs..and some Koni SA Yellows, or Bilstein HD shocks/struts.. Also get a set of MM CC plates and an alignment and you should be set.

Try fox struts and they won"t bottom out or bounce with the BBK. You will get lot smoother ride.

Its not that he needs fox struts.. he just needs a new/better set made for lowering in general..

stick to whats made for your car man

c'mon guys ford spends billions on R&D if the fox struts were better im sure ford would have used them on our cars. I know many guys with fox's that switch to sn shocks and stuts. Suspension is the last thing I would want to mess up on my car.

yes but ford also did not slam your car. fox struts are a good alternative for lowered sn95.like stated above somewere the piston is shorter which allows for more travel. get aftermarket ones but for stock replacements i would do the fox ones.

Because it would be totally beneficial for bilstein and koni and other manufacturers to put out a whole seperate line of shocks for a certain year car. When they could just as simply tell everyone the fox shocks fit on our car..

We would still buy it.. And they would save money... I mean i could be totally wrong and they didnt test anything, so they porbably dont know shit for what is good for our cars..

Now sure, maybe someone has tested and found an application where fox shocks are better..

But until someone clearly has proven everyone wrong and can ultimately give me the application in which i should be using fox shocks.. Ill stick with what is meant for my car

I am a fan to sticking whats made for my car, however I do appreciate both sides helping me out. There might be some things out there that I will consider getting thats not specific to my yr mustang but I would have to agree that suspension isnt one of those things. Im still a post count noob so for now i'll keep reading bc I still have more questions than answers.

bilstein and koni dont come stock on an sn95.and if you read what i typed then you see i said that unless your going aftermarket fox struts are a good option. so if your on a budget fox shocks and struts are way cheaper.if you got 600 to 900 to spend then by all means get sn95 specific.

Well if that's how you feel, PUT THE STOCK SPRINGS BACK ON or suffer the jarring ride.

Actually it's not because of that, but the fact that a fox does not weigh as much, lol. It just sags the springs and compresses the shock. reducing your bound and rebound and all that other jazz. Weight also plays a big role in what supension you run...
