Hey guys, I was looking for some information on this car I am possibly about to trade for. Belber sent me here and said you guys could help me out.

So here's the story: I had my '03 G35 auto up for sale on craigslist, and a guy contacted me wanting to trade his built 2000 GT for mine. His reasons for wanting to get rid of it, is that he was in a bad accident a few years ago (not in the stang) and driving the car just kills his back.

He said he daily drove it for a while until his back really started giving him trouble, and after that the car was almost never driven. I looked at the car yesterday and everything looked good to my untrained eye. Sounded good, ran well, drove well, and it's in very good condition. It's also Sunburst Gold, which I've heard is rare.

I'm going to post the mod list and then hopefully you guys can give me some guidance.

First, welcome to the site! Second, was the car your talking about ever wrecked? How much mileage is on it? Sounds like a good trade though.

Mileage is 76,xxx on frame, about 25,xxx on motor. I'm trying to post a mod list but keep getting an error. Something about using up too much memory? Car has never been in an accident, bought a carfax on it and it was clean.

Bullitt intake manifold alone is about a Grand to add onto it. Ask me how I know lol... dude that looks like a great car I'd definitely hop on if it runs and drives good

Since I'm for whatever reason unable to post the entire mod list, the car has a Vortech V2 SQ supercharger and SHM 69000 Long Block (believe it's a 5.0). Cobra fuel tank and pumps, cobra oil pump. SHM stage 1 head porting. 8.5:1 compression. Running at about 21 psi. Only thing is I don't know if it's dyno tuned? SCT Raptor Chip Programmer - Comes with Street, Race and Valet Tunes is what he has in his ad, told me about it in person too. I don't know if they're just preset tunes or it's just switching between maps

Trust me I am definitely leaning towards a yes here, I just want to make sure I'm not taking over someone's headache.

Mod List (couldn't write it out so I took a picture):

What's the g35 like?
Seems like a good trade if you assume it was built properly. Judging from the pictures it looks like it has been. Take a really close look at it and be super critical. If no alarms go off and it looks like they took pride in their work I think it would be a good trade. It has some great parts.

Although, I love deep dish bullitts but I'm not sure on this car if they fit it...

Good luck!

The G35 is bone stock except for some cosmetic mods including forged wheels. It's extremely clean though, we had our cars up on Craigslist for around the same price. He told he was looking mostly for Land Rovers, but somehow my car came up in the search (woo, tags) and he liked it. He said he has all the receipts for work done. He didn't do it himself, the previous owner did.

Why would he be looking at land rovers.... Does he like doing repairs daily?

Receipts are good, see if you can do some research where the car was built.

I'd jump on it if no alarms went off while looking at it. Assuming you want this car.

Beats me, but hey he found my car in the process so I'm not complaining!

Yeah he told me he would give me the name of the shop that did all the work as soon as he gets home from work. Doing all this legwork because I more than want this car.

Thank you, hopefully I'll be sticking around!

Lol @ 21 psi...there is 0 percent chance that blower is producing 21 psi just FYI. There is also 0 chance the motor would only make 550 hp with 21 psi and supporting mods like cam/bullit intake.

That seems like a nice trade to me, lots of nice stuff there

No idea, he said 21 psi. Has a boost gauge in it. He said it'll go anywhere from 21-25 psi depending on what gear / how much you're stepping on it? I don't know, I'm no expert.

Lol thats why Im chiming in, that blower will not physically produce that much boost on even a stock 4.6 2v.

The guy who is selling you the car doesnt seem to know what he is talking about.

Its a blower, not a turbo. Boost doesnt really fluctuate from gear to gear and if it does its very minimal, certainly not 21 to 25 psi. Blower spin at a set rate given RPM.

Turbos can fluctuate and create more boost in higher gears since there is more load.

The head unit maxed out would have a hard time producing more than 15 psi or so on that motor

Regardless, sounds like a good deal to me, first thing you may wanna do is get it to a reputable tuner and have them check out the tune and you can get an accurate measure of boost. power. a/f
