What's the normal temperature powdercoat can withstand?
Most powdercoat cures around 400 degrees, and high temperature stuff even higher than that. If you want crazy heat resistance (like for the hotside of a turbo) then 2000* ceramic paint is the way to go.

Ok... tell me more about those 94-95 pieces....I think you posted that to grab my attention.

I just finished pulling a bunch of crap off my stroker car over the weekend in preparation for teardown and was looking at how difficult it would be to do all that stuff. But if I can exchange them plus cash I'd be open to the idea. Although I dont think my tensioner is worth a crap.... anyway, Those coolant crossover tubes in the picture look incredible. What was done to them? Were they just media blasted and then coated in matte black?
I'd probably be willing to sell mine to you, then have you send me yours back in exchange. The cost would depend on how much sanding/prep you wanted done first, and what color you wanted.
The coolant tube was just blasted and coated matte black. I did that for my notch too and it looks cool as hell. I did my coil bracket, hood latch, bumper cover supports, and other various things in flat black to match too.

See, here's my motor for the notch:

One mroe thing Paul, did you coat the black pulleys on the tensioners too?
Nope, those are just plastic. I've done pulleys before though.

is that an 'at home' powder coating station/kit, or is that what you do for a living?
Hah! No way, I'm a bank auditor! I just do this stuff in my garage for fun.
Paul.
