Hey paul, what size oven did you get so you can fit your buddy's block to fit in? and since the powdercoat
cures at like 400 thats safe for a block? or did you use that high temp stuff you mentioned?

The block, cylinder head, and valve cover were all done at once by a professional. I have a normal oven like you'd find in a kitchen - not big enough for that. We used regular powdercoat - it will withstand the heat just fine.

That sounds good man... I have a relative that works at UPS so I'd be able to get discounts on shipping the stuff, and I'd include a shipping label for the return trip. Maybe PM me your address and we'll see what the costs would be.
Would you be willing to do an alternator and maybe the metal part of a PS pump too?
The colors I'm looking at right now are a matte black for the coil bracket, coolant tubes, alt. case and PS pump. And then a metallic silver (maybe) or a low gloss "chrome" finish for the brackets and timing cover. But I may not send those last two pieces to you because as you know, when its all back together you really can't see much of the brackets and cover on a 94-95 car anyway, so I dont think I wanna have a bunch of time spent smoothing them out. I just want them coated so the color matches the other stuff, know what I mean? So I might just get them blasted and coated locally. Plus the weight of the brackets could really kill the deal.
But your prep work and attention to detail seems like it would be worth it on the stuff that WILL show. ;)
