ok i know its not a sn95 but its still a 5.0
this is the car me and my bestfriend have been building for the past two years now and recently just decided on the engine options....fordstrokers is building a 347 with 11.1 comp, all forged internals, a custom grind cam from C.I.....fully race ported edelbrock victor jr heads(milled flat, hand blended bowls/3 angle valve job along with manley race valves), edelbrock super victor efi with custom sheetmetal 90mm elbow from intake elbow...still havent decided on exhaust yet..hes prolly goin to settle on kooks headers and x pipe with a spintech catback...pics will be updated as soon as we take them.....

Looks like fun!!! bet it hauls, whatever power it makes. Depending on the cam, it should make 400-450 or better.

Unless he's a national competitor who is currently leading the points in a particular class, the secret squirrel stuff is dumb. Post the specs. That, along with combination details ultimately helps add to the knowledge base for what "works" and what doesn't.

I dont agree w/ blabbing about custom cam grinder spec's. Its a curiosity thing. I understand the points made above but there is also a flip side of the coin.

If you made your living off of something custom would you want someone sharing your specs?

They send you a freaking cam card for god's sake. It's not some super secret mystery.

The specs on my custom grind cam are: .576/.569, 234/236 @.050", 114 LSA. This is for a 422 ci motor with 8.8:1 CR and Brodix M2 Track 1 CNC heads.

Oh noes!! Ed Curtis is going to go out of business now!!!

It's be pretty hard to sell a cam or a motor without ever telling anyone the specs.

It's best you guys keep it on the down-low anyway, you don't want the super secret nature of it to get out. Your competition in the NMRA might take it from you and make a thousand horsepowers with it!!!

Daaaayum Paul.

That cam has duration....

Kinda wild how the duration is almost exact with the intake and exhaust but yet it pushes harder on the intake with lift..

It's sort of a lot of duration for a 302, but not really for a motor 40% larger if you think about it.

I know - the specs are sort of weird. I'm sure Ed knows what he's doing though.

Just don't tell anyone my cams specs. They're super secret squirrel and can't be disclosed or I'll lose my edge in my super streetracing scene.

Yeah, considering he is an engineer and has done testing with Ford Motor Company and others as well...I think he is pretty reliable.

I promise to keep quiet about your specs...I'm good.

I agree its fine to share the cam specs if the car is being sold or the cam itself. You cant just say "Oh its custom grind" Its obvious there are two different views regarding the topic so for those who say its fine to make public custom cam specs stop trying to convince those of us who dont think you should that its just fine to do so. Your view on the issue is no more right or wrong then those who think they should not be made public. Just b/c its your view does not mean its the right one.

Meh. Who cares.

Just make sure you don't tell anyone my cam grind. It's super secret squirrel stuff.

Paul.
