does the coffee can change the sound at all? (serious question)
i see ya tryin to secretly clown man....i see it!

yea i'd say it does. i used it simply to save tons of work building a rise to stretch the fleece over. perfect size so faak it :)

i hooked it up to my house stereo and it sounds really good. stuffed some foam type stuff in it. helped clean up the sound and give it a tad bit more depth rather then sounding like headphones laying there blasting haha.

an enclosure is a very important part of the equation. Everything from what its made from to size will effect the way it sounds.

I never would have thought to use a coffee can. And I'm not knocking that at all I think it's a fabulous "cheat", if you will, to building a wooden enclosure. Which those can be a major PITA. And stuffing it with foam would drastically reduce that tingy sound you would get from the speaker echoing off the metal. GREAT idea Tony I definitely think it will do everything you need it too with less than half the work!

I wanna throw some speakers in my Jeep now to compliment the 15's that I have to keep at probably 20% power hahaha

i dont know what moonie gauges means, lol.

it is my air ride gauges. the coffee can is not metal. it is basically the same thing as what allot of audio installers use to build fiberglass enclosures. just not quite as thick.
