I have a 95 gt. I built it up pretty well so far for a college student. full exhaust, mild suspension, rims and other show things. i had a complete top end kit new but sold it since i needed money for school. i just want to get my car complete at once. Instead of waiting a long time and saving up little by little. I was thinking of getting a personal loan of like 10,000 haha. if i had that much i would finish the car and be happy. I have no problems with the payments I have two stable jobs and one of them is union so i'm covered with the payment. questions are, is this a good idea? and do you know of where to go to get it? I have a good credit score but only had credit cards for around a year good job history.

O yea. Thinking a 331 with trickflow top end a a procharger.

First, let me pre-emptively say:

<-- Risk management professional with a degree in Finance who has worked for a bank for ten years.

Then, I'll give you my opinion.

No. It's a bad idea. A very, very bad idea.

You can't afford it. Save the money and it when you can pay for it.

Worst place to ask for personal advice... imo. We dont know your entire situation so you have to do what you think is smart. If you get it and regret it later, hey you live and learn. Why not do what makes you happy.

ya, a personal loan to hop up a car is a bad idea, from personal experience. take a big jar, and put it on top of the fridge. at first, dimes and nickles go in , then work up to quarters and dollars. you will be suprised what you find......

I would just put a blower on it and call it good. a blown 302 with the right mods will make over 400 RWHP without too much problem. the proper mods inclue 42# inj and MAF, 255 in tank and big inline external, big ass fuel rails, a really good tune and a heavy duty clutch, coupled with a nice blower of some sort, like Vortech or ProCharger. oh ya, dont forget a nice intake (TFS Track heat or equiv) and head studs.
