I bought some dye to redo my sun visors. I have a convertible with lighted mirror in visor. I took 3 screws out but visor is not dropping down. looks like a plastic molding somehow has to be unhooked and come down with visor? I'm assuming their is a wiring plug behind that plastic piece to unplug for the lighted mirror? I'm not having any luck finding the convertible video on youtube other than older fox body and mines a 2004

It should be similar to a coupe. There is a spring that’s held into place by tension so you’ll need to apply some force to get them out.

Guess I'm bit confused.. A spring holding visor up in top window surrounding molding.. or spring holding visor onto shaft? I'm trying to remove the assembly to get at wiring plug behind it then bring whole assembly in to re-dye

There is a spring holding the visor onto the ceiling.

To remove the visor in the convertible, you need to pull the center header piece down first. There is a hidden screw on each of the metal plates that hold the visors that you will not see until you remove the center header trim.

Here's the hidden screw that you won't see until you pull the header

The visor comes down as a unit where you can see the backside and there is a way to release the retaining setup to pull the visor from these end plates. I forget exactly as it's been a few years since I played with my visors on my convertible
