So I've been dreaming every night for the past month about my engine build that's soon to come, and a few questions have arisen that I can't seem to find answers to:
When I overbore my block .050", what do I do about head gaskets? Will the stock 3.8 gaskets work? Or is there an overbored gasket I need?
I would prefer the SCAT Long rods, but it's my understanding that a certain type of piston has to be used to avoid contact with the valves. Is this correct? Right now I have my forged pistons on my wish list from Morana Racing, the Eagle rods for $480. Does anyone know where I can score the SCAT rods direct from SCAT, rather than having to pay SSM or Morana's middle man price?
