Lol wow...kids these days.
My cars auto and I've pulled that Sensor out 100 times.
If the exhaust is in the way your gonna have to drop it I guess although I have never had that issue.....

haha. well, we've determined that Paul and Handz were the same person. so that mystery was solved. lol.

got my sensor out, gear looked fine, cleaned the connector out ad put some dialectric grease in it. and it will work for like 20 minutes then just stop..

If the cruise control works then the sensor on the trans is fine, and the prob is in the cluster.
I am having a similar prob. My speedo will go to 110mph when I'm only doing 70 and will stay at 110 while i'm moving, wnenI stop sometimes the speedo will wo back to zero sometimes it will go around to the under side of the pin.
The last time I had the cluster out I added a little piece of paper under the PCB on the back of the cluster so the connectors can make a little better contact. It seems to be working better but it still acts up from time to time though. I'm going to add another piece of paper to see if it cures it completely.

Ya know how the circuit board on the back of the cluster and how the tabs bend over where the connectors get inserted? Just slip 2-4 of pieces of paper on the underneith side before you bend the tabs back over to install the connectors.

brake lights are working. I dont understand.. It works fine for about 40 miles, then all of a sudden it starts jumping around then just dies, I turn my car off and start it back up and it works fine. Da fuq is going on?

so, I noticed something today.
whenever I am on the gas is when the gauge wants to mess up. if i hold it steady at say 60- MPH, lean on the throtttle the gauge will jump around, if i get off the throttle it goes back to normal. i'm kinda lead to believe its the sensor.

Unbolt it. Its on the right side of the bulkhead. A big ass Harness connector with a 6mm(?) bolt head..
