I want to lower my 96 gt. I do not want a drastic drop as I want to fit 315s out back. Which of these springs will work best? If I could avoid cc plates that would also be a plus. Im open to other brands but I also hear that many springs drop the car 1.5 inches or more and I want to stay above that to avoid scraping and issues with the 315s. Any advise helps, thanks

Dont avoid cc plates. Theyre a must, dont cheap out on your suspension. As for the springs i have no idea. Ive ran frpp c springs in both of my SN95s and i highly recommend them. Your issue with 315s will come first with the offset and width of your wheels followed by the quad shock. Im not 100% positive but im pretty sure you can squeeze 315s on our cars without having to worry about rubbing inside (roll your fenders) if you take care of the quad shock and have the right offset

Im going with mustang replica wheels so offset will be fine. If I need cc plates I will get them. Biggest concern is scraping everywhere so I need a spring that sets a nice stance and not compromise the bottom of my car

Honestly, cut a coil or two and you'd be fine. B springs barely drop the car at all, I had them and the car was still stupid high. Steeda is way overpriced.

I have heard that cutting the oem springs is not a good idea. Im also considering the H&R sport springs. It states that the car is dropped 1.5 inches front and back

More concerned with the wheels and tires rubbing. I guess I want a drop that is not too drastic

So would it be safe to say 1
1/2 coils would be good? Is it even possible to cut 1 1/2 coils? Would I get a lot of bounce?

1.5 coils would be a lot of cutting so grab some food, water and a few hours worth of music. The springs would actually increase the stiffness so you would need to upgrade your shocks and struts to accommodate the higher spring rate youre creating. That way you wont have a bad time...ask me how i know. If i were you i would just buy a set of c springs. Theyre like 160 bucks or so. Simple swap. Not too hard but a good time investment. I made a step by step on my build thread about doing the front spring swap. Click on the dark blue writing in my sig

How much of a drop are the C springs? I also hear the c springs lower the front too much. The car is a daily driver

But theres a lot to cut if you want a drop. I have a coil cut on my rear frpp c springs and that was an investment. I think the one coil came out to be a half inch drop

One full coil got me an inch off. Its easy man, 30 mins to get the springs out and get a good wheel on a grinder, golden.

As is mine. Listen to Joey too (the5.ohh) hes pretty damn low. Also if we keep telling you the same thing you should probably realize where giving you expert advice. I used to run 275s on all 4 (now 285s in back) and i dont rub unless i hit hard bumps or a fully locked turn which is rare that i do that

I got it guys! I will probably cut one coil and be done. A friend has a set of bullit springs and he cut half a coil. He tells me 60 bucks. Would these springs work? He has 6000 miles on them
