I'm having trouble finding pictures of a black 99+ with stripes in any color than red
I love the nice clean look of my all black 01, BUT, every time I see a mustang with deck stripes and rocker stripes, I'm breaking my neck to look at it.
I'm eventually putting anthracite FR500's on it (this spring), so I'm thinking sliver? grey stripes?
what do you guys think?

most people have a knee jerk reaction to them here and if you like them then don't bother asking as you will not like them. We have a black mach1 in our club that has flat black stripes and markings on his car and I think it looks killer. I plan on putting black stripes on my DFG.

I never thought the 94-04 Mustangs looked right with stripes. Not a fan personally they just don't flow with the lines of the car.

Man, I can always pull up Ciotti Industries page & find just about whatever y'all are looking for. It has none! I'm kinda staying busy until Monday. I can maybe look past then for ya.

I think how strips look also depend on the rest of the car. Like other aftermarket looks and all.

I'm either going to go with a hood like onyx's plus a scoop, or use an actual mach 1 hood. Either way, I think I've got the stripes decided. Flat black Mach 1 hood stripe, no rocker stripes, flat black on the recessed section at the bottom of the rear bumper and MAYBE flat black in the mustang letters on the rear bumper.

I STRONGLY dislike the SVO hood. When I said plus a scoop, I meant I'd take a hood like yours and add the scoop myself. Something with a similar look and profile to the shaker scoop. I really don't care if it shakes or not I just love the profile

I have a decal that is at the very bottom of my side exhaust side skirts that just says MUSTANG///// that I like. It is actually down far enough and subtle enough being black on DFG that it only shows up in one of the pics I have take of it when you enlarge it.

If you click on the last pic infront of the burned out building on that page you can see it. It is only really noticable in certain light conditions and from certian angles but the subtle little visial mods like this is what I like.

thanks. That louver is actually a plug so when I get the gonads up to do it(or hopefully find someone with experience) and make a fiberglass mold with it so that I can then copy that shape into a completely fiberglass part, as well as make as many copies as I would need to if others liked them enough...

If you did decide to do stripes, I personally think that it is a MUST that the stripes do not go down the bumper all the way. they should be on the bumper, but not the very bottom rounded piece that is inline with the fogs.

just my 2 pennies.

I wish I could afford the supplies, I'd do it for you, you should do it . Its a lot of work but nothing really tricky or complicated, just take your time
