So I get to working on this Kia today. I dont care if I ever see a Kia again. I couldnt keep the crank from rotating when I tried to break the balancer bolt loose, I couldn't get the puller (crows foot) on it because they didnt thread the bolt holes in the balancer/pulley from the factory :bs:, and the manifold is a real bear to get off. that car really sucks to work on. All Im doing is a timing belt and tune up, including spark plugs and all filters. If it wasnt my sisters car, I would have told the customer to go to the Kia shop. and I thought Hondas were bad!!!!! It even "ate" the electrode out of the center of the spark plug, and these are NGK platinum ones!!!
The more I work on the KIA (Killed in Action, lol) the more I miss my simplistic Mustang. Oh, and one other thing, I found Hyundai markings on everything. I wonder if Hyundai has something to do with this abortion of a car. Optima. HA. more like Optimal POS!!!!
Sorry, Just had to vent, I got most everything back together, after much drama. stupid car. I just wanna light it on fire, or drive it into a concrete filled pole in a parking lot.
