I like it all but the steering wheel.

:)

exactly what i was thinking. aftermarket steering wheels never turn out right. its not even that it's billet as its more fit of it and it not matching anything else in the interior. i would much rather see you try to put a s197 wheel in it.

How the heck are you going to get the steering wheel to look right against the steering column? Not joking here.

jk but seriously Tony all looks good but that steering wheel needs to stay on low riders not muscle cars

man go to good guys, or the power tour, or super chevy, or all ford nationals. billet wheels are in just about every resto mod, pro street, muscle car there, lol. it's not a lowrider thing...just a custom thing:

@ SLYKIN:

the problem with installing a billet steering wheel on an sn is the hub spline...this:

91080282_L.jpg

this is what allows you to turn your wheel. NO billet wheel company makes a hub adapter with these teeth. but however just this year GRANT steering wheels started making one to fit over these teeth:

5249-1.jpg

not as smooth and clean as the billet specialties GM hub adpts. but will work fine.

the next issue will be that with the GRANT hub adapter it requires the use of a grant steering wheel.......i hate grant steering wheels. or any steering wheel you can get from auto zone.

so i will have to connect this wheel:

to this hub:

5249-1.jpg

as you can clearly see....the holes in no way are even close.

so then i will just simply drill new holes through the face of the wheel:

and cover all the holes with a polished horn button:

mdmp_1003_06_1963_falcon_squire_wagonbillet_specialties_steering_wheels-1.jpg

when you remove your steering wheel the hole is round.....kinda looks like it would be rectangle but its round between the back of the wheel and the column

hooten knows wassup, lol. thanks josh :)

I cant believe that you completely missed the fast and the furious reference.....Tony, your car looks sick, and what ever you do to it, it will look even sicker....

The thing with those steering wheels is they are for a round streering column we have a rectangular one..
once you take your wheel off there's a round hole though.

it would basically look like this...hopefully with less gap..idk?

ha man i dont get the itch to change my car at all only thing i wont is some subs and a 7 inch dvd screen and maybe some strobe lights in the headlights noting to much tho and my car is pretty much stock
No prob man, I get the itch to change mine all the time. you look at other cars and think if mine looked like that, I wouldnt change a thing. But in the end you would start changing things. But you have a good eye and you want your car looking top notch. its gonna look good no matter what, or else you wont be happy.

In front of you
every so often when i log intot his site i can always count on running into a good made by Tony thread. I like your ideas and have to agree that if you think Billet wheels arent used on muscle cars you really should get out more. My only opinion is that I genuinely like how it looks right now or how it looked not sure if you started taking it apart, it doesnt seem like it will happen but im hoping it doesnt look like to "much" if you catch what im saying. Like your trying to cram to much into a little space and there is just TOOO much to look at instead of just the right amount. Im sure youve figured it all out though so ill sit back and watch, best of luck old man.

lol, thanks knuckles! i think ya need to get on here more :)

but yea, def not alot of room to cram a bunch of billet shit...that i 100% agree with. i got stoked when i seen that they make a polished ford hub adapter, lol. caue i know how i can make things work...just from other customs i have built. but i think i get right to the edge of too much then stop.
