I haven't done much modding to it, but you have to have something running right before you start upgrading shit. Plus I can't keep the thing running long enough to do anything with it. Since I've had it I've had to replace the master cylinder, it blew a spark plug out the head, it had a bad exhaust leak, clutch cable had to be replaced, the radiator hose exploded, and now it's in the shop getting the throwout bearing replaced. Hopefully that's the only thing wrong with it.

I have a 2 page long list of things I plan to do to the car. The interior needs almost a complete overhaul, new suspension, new exhaust, new bumper/fender/spoiler, the whole car needs to be repainted, windows need to be retinted, etc. The biggest issue right now is getting it running again. The next thing it'll get are new tires, then the bumper/fender, then the suspension. By then I'll probably have no money again. Anyway, this is going to be a slow work in progress.

They come black, I just haven't painted them. I honestly don't care enough about that to do anything. If they were orange that's cool, but they're black and that's fine too. If you have any suggestions though, feel free to post them! I'm always interested in other peoples opinions.

Probably just needs a little loving is all... old owner must have neglected the ginger. You have to win her over then she will return it back to you.

Yup! That's why I said I wanna get it running right before I worry about mods. After this last issue gets fixed though, there shouldn't be anymore problems. I haven't noticed anything else going bad lately. I can only hope...

First I would paint the bezels body colour :p Then, by the looks of that hood in the sun, she'd be getting some major paint correction. Then, I would removed those bumper letter inserts and then throw a pro-kit in. Voila! :D

Oh, and scrape the dog poop off the tire :p

I have way more important things to do than paint the bezels, the hood is beyond repair and has to be painted, and the bumper letters were replaced with new ones that aren't flaking away. I like the black accents, I don't want a plain orange car. Also, those are leaves not dog poop. Thanks though.

I'm not upset, I was just explaining. You're right, it is hard to detect emotion in text. What I said wasn't said was strictly business, not mad or upset.

You might think you have a long to-do list, but if you're going to keep the car and do that much to it, you're able to do it ALL how you want it, down to pretty much every last detail, and thats pretty cool. I like the orange! Good luck with getting it going!

agreed. Don't be in a hurry or it just ends up costing more IMO. My mother was the original owner of my car so I am never going to sell it and have a long list of mods I want to do to it. I have found that if I just keep my eyes open for the parts I want they come up sooner or later for the price I wanted to pay. I bought my twisted wedge heads early last year when summit ran a sale on them for $1k. I didn't have the cam I wanted to match with it, the roller rockers, pushrods or any of the other parts needed for the install. This year found some SVO 1.6 RR for $100 shipped in great shape on here and jumped on them. Later I found an online coupon for the cam and pushrods that gave me 30 percent off of them. Then while it was all being installed I came across an anderson power pipe on here for $150. Also found a magnaflow high-flow catted tru-x on craigs list for $100 while I was just happening to install my side exhaust, perfect! It was mounted on a car that was not lowered so other then the marks on the bolts it was still as shiney as it was new and for $400 cheaper then new!

Now I have started to collect the pieces I need to lower it. Found a steeda bump steer kit again on CL nib for $100. I will probably buy the majority of the parts new and will just keep my eyes open for sales or discount codes as I do not want to cheap out and buy either badly used parts or cheap new parts. As I said I am NEVER sellin it so I want quality parts that I hope means I will not need to replace them too quickly. do it right, do it once. Take your time while doing it and hopefully you will get what you want for the price you want.

Thank you for the advice JiMi_DRiX and ttocs! I'm definitely not in a hurry, I wanna do everything right the first time so I don't have to go back and do everything again. I really appreciate the advice! :)
