Thermal barrier coatings

Hi All,

I just ordered a new TFS R-Series carb-style EFI intake and would like to have the bottom side treated with an oil-shedding thermal barrier coating to help keep heat out of the manifold. Does anyone have suggestions for somewhere that does this? I checked with Jet-Hot and they only coat the top sides of intakes.

Check with the folks at Swain Tech coatings. They might be able to help you out

I think lizard skin ceramic insulation might work for this.

I have lizard skin on the bottom of my car and it seems like it has held up pretty well. I mean it is right next to the cats/exhaust and doesn't seem to have broken down from that heat.
